John is a Senior Managing Director and head of retail Business Development, responsible for increasing the firm's exposure in the retail community as well as identifying alternative distribution channels for MacKay Shields products.  Prior to MacKay Shields in 1996, John was Executive Vice President in charge of marketing, sales and development of fixed income products at CDC Investments.  Previously, he was a Senior Vice President, Asset Management and Pension Services, with The Travelers Company.  John has been in the investment management industry since 1973 and received a BS from Denison University.
